No to Wayne

“Sorry, Yo,” I snorted. “I told yo ass I was savin’ myself for marriage. I’m a virgin.”

“Well, let’s get married,” he suggested. “Billy can marry us right now, then we can fuck. Whatta ya say?”

“I say I’m goin’ ta bed,” Billy smiled smugly. “Ya’ll have fun dukin’ it out. I might have one more drink first,” he disappeared outta the band room.

“I’m goin’ ta bed, too,” I snapped, scampering out behind him. “Besides,” I hollered back at ‘em, “yo ass is too tight. I didn’t get to fist up to my elbow and shit like I wanted, so it’s no go, no deal.”

“You mean, I gave you my ass for nothing? I feel so, like, violated and stuff. I feel so used.”

“Sympathy will get you nowhere,” I talked with ice. “So stop tryin’. You’ve been played, so deal with it.”

“Can I at least have another drink? My ass virginity is at least worth a drink, is it not? What’s left in the fridge?”

I threw a tequila melon cooler at him, which shut him up. Finding the moment of silence, I ran into the safety of her daughter’s bedroom and acted like I was sleeping. I could hear Billy and Wayne yappin’ at each other from the living room.

“Yeah, Wayne, she went to bed. Her and Sheena Ann’s gotta get up early anyway, like only a couple hours. You should let her sleep.”

And that’s what I did. I closed my eyes, only to have them open before long to the sound of Sheena Ann’s voice. “Are you wakin’ up?”
